ABOUT
The Finding Autism Online Discussion Group aims to provide Autistic women and non-binary people with opportunities to find:
• Belonging - A place to be completely yourself, feel accepted, be understood, and welcomed with open arms
• Peer advice - A group that offers a way to learn strategies, wisdom, or share experiences with fellow Autistic peers
• Positive Autistic identity - A safe space that values autism acceptance
The group is facilitated by Amy Adams, an Autistic woman and the Founder of Finding Autism.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Amy will introduce the topic (also emailed to you ahead of time) and an associated resource as the basis for discussion. Sharing of experiences, thoughts, and insights will follow. If there is time, the session will be wrapped up by discussing potential topics for next month. Note - you are welcome to have your camera and mic off and will never be put on the spot to speak.
WHEN
The group sessions run on the last Sunday of each month at 7.00PM to 8.00PM AEST.
FEE
The cost of attending each online discussion session is $5 (AUD).
