Neurodiversity Affirming Self-help Therapy Workshops

These educational workshops are designed for Autistic individuals, AuDHDers, and their supporters. Each Zoom workshop will comprise of psychoeducation, a therapeutic activity, and time for questions at the end.

Feel free to engage in the workshop in whatever way feels best for you - there is never any pressure to have your camera on or to speak, unless you want to.

These events are not designed as a substitute for therapy; rather, they serve as an additional source of information and support to complement one-on-one therapy that is tailored to your unique goals.

FREE Therapy Foundations Workshop - Mindfulness and Meditation for ND minds

In this Zoom workshop, we will explore mindfulness and meditation practices for neurodivergent minds. Key questions addressed in this workshop are:

  • What is the difference between mindfulness and meditation?

  • What is the evidence to support these practices as a good tool for wellbeing?

  • How can we adapt conventional mindfulness and meditation practices to be more accessible to Autistic people, AuDHDers, and ADHDers? (“sit still and upright for 20 minutes whilst focusing on your breath”…. I don’t think so!)

  • What are some practical ways to incorporate accessible mindfulness and meditation into our daily lives?

FREE Therapy Foundations Workshop - Emotion Processing

In this Zoom workshop, we will do a deep dive into emotions. Key questions covered will be:

  • What is the function of different emotions? That is, what do our emotions communicate to us?

  • How can we increase our ability to accurately identify and express our emotions? Why is this important?

  • Different emotions call for different “tools” to assist us to ground, regulate, and thrive. What are some of these therapy tools and techniques, and how might we practice them?
